What is God birthing In you?

Mathew 1:19-25

Mary finds out she has become pregnant by the Holy Spirit. Joseph (her soon to be husband) is told not to be afraid to take Mary as his wife.

Conception - The beginning process of birth. What is God birthing in me? We naturally end each year and think of all the things we want to start or change for the New Year. A sort of restart! (Side note we can do this at any time throughout out the year.) When God is birthing something it is for His kingdom purpose. I love how the angel says “Joseph, Do not be afraid” because a supernatural conception requires something we don’t currently possess. It requires faith in the birthing process and trust in the Almighty. It requires belief in ourselves, patience, dependency, and diligence.

So if God is birthing something in you remember the words of the Angel, “Do not be afraid,” because just like He selected Mary and Joseph to birth His son, He has picked you to fulfill this purpose.

What is God birthing in you?

I have a Dream!

The Iconic four words that almost did not make the speech in 1963. Martin Luther King used the idea of a dream in many speeches and was counseled against using it for his speech during the march for jobs and freedom. As he read his well-prepared notes a gospel singer shouted, “tell them about the dream” Reluctant to deviate from the plan King put his notes aside, stepped beside the podium, and delivered one of the most iconic speeches in history.

Dreams are designed with passion, they well up within us and push us to reach beyond our self-made limitations that drives us to accomplishment.

Sometimes we must step aside from the ordinary, and proclaim we have a dream.

Proclamation-A public or official announcement, especially one dealing with a matter of great importance.

When Martin Luther King stepped beside that podium it was an act of his proclamation.

Are You A Starter Or A Finisher?

Are you a starter or a finisher? I think we all struggle with one or the other. A new year always presents itself with new goals, habit changes, and almost ALWAYS starting something. I started writing a dream course in the middle of 2020 and I have been chipping away at it. Trying to learn all the technical parts that go into making something like this happen, so I enter 2021 with having to finish something!!!!  I am a great starter it is the finishing that gets me every time. God brought this scripture to my mind Philippians 1:6 “And I am certain that God who began the good work within you will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” I cannot say if God gets frustrated or not but if He does, I can only imagine His frustration with us. I am simply trying to get words on a page and all the buttons to work on a website, He is having to work with ME!!! All the detours I have taken in life, the times I give up, the stubbornness to walk my own way. I can not even imagine!!! So today when I sat down and picked up my computer and thought “WHY am I doing this? It is taking too long!! Maybe I should have never started!” God so gently reminded that HE is FAITHFUL to complete the work within me. What work is God trying to complete in you?

Its a Birthing Season!

We are about to wrap up Christmas in 2020 and WOW it has been quit the year!!! I am sure you have heard the story of Jesus birth several times in the last few weeks. I can’t help but relate to the theme of this season “A Birth” I would like to ask you “What are you birthing right now?” I have had three kids of my own, I understand this process very well and as I have sat and listened to the story of Jesus birth several times this Christmas season, God reminded me of the process. The excitement, the growing, the labor pains, and the delivery. When God calls us to something there is always a birthing process. I kind of forgot this along the way. Feeling frustrated and wanting to rush the process which if you have had a baby you know darn well there is NO rushing the process!!! The labor pains that happen and all that goes into this part of the preparation for delivery. Where are you in birthing something? Have you forgot that there is a process? I believe God is birthing something in all of us. Its not every year we go through something that effects the entire world, and yet this Christmas season we celebrate a baby that came to change our entire world. What are you birthing today?

2021 HAS GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR NEW LIFE!!!

2 Chronicles 7:14

“If my people who are called by name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” God brought this scripture HOME for me today. I have always prayed this over our nation but today God instructed me to pray this over my home. Healing needs to happen in our homes to affect our land. I see so many broken homes with broken people. Our place of safety has become a war zone and has negatively impacted our land. I challenge you to bring this scripture home today. Humble yourself, pray, and seek that YOUR land will be healed.

Facing Adversity With Love

What does it look like to have adversity and love in the same room? I got the biggest compliment today from a dear friend as she described watching my life from the outside. One of her statements she made was "watching me face adversity with love." I pondered this statement the entire day and reflected over its meaning. I thought about the process of adversity and the choice we have when we face it. I always said to my kiddos..."You might not be able to control your circumstances, but you always get to control how you respond to them." I discovered a lot of freedom when I truly got to the point in life that I was able to live these words out.

Two thoughts to ponder for you.

#1 Love is always a choice. There are many ways to show love and there is even a choice in receiving love. Which do you struggle with the most?

#2 It is never a question of if we will face adversity. The question is HOW will we face adversity?

I want to shout out a huge THANK YOU, to my friend who inspired these words and also encouraged me to self evaluate. I hope this gives you thoughts to ponder in your own life and you can experience love and adversity in the same room.

3 Ways To Declutter In 2020

Clutter, Clutter Clutter, we have it in our homes and we have it in our lives. I don’t know about you but it doesn’t matter how much I try to clean out it just comes flying back in. Here are three practical ways to get rid of clutter and three life consequences of keeping clutter around.

#1. PULL EVERYTHING OUT

There is nothing like seeing the walls when you remove everything from your space. it is definitely an AH HA moment. Two things happen, you will only put back what you actually want and it gives you the opportunity to organize as you go.

LIFE TIP

When we keep our minds cluttered with unnecessary things we have a “NARROW FOCUS OF A BIG DREAM” let that soak in….2020 has definitely given us a lot of reasons to clutter our minds, but it is time to declutter and open ourselves up to the dreams we are meant to pursue.

#2. GIVE AWAY STUFF

I know FOR SURE I do not need half of the stuff I have sitting around. Its o.k. to bless someone else. One good question to ask yourself, “when was the last time I used this?” Now I have to confess the hardest thing for me to get rid of is any type of decor so you might have your certain hobby that might need to be squeezed in there somewhere, but sharing is caring and in this case will help you out!

LIFE TIP

Clutter is comfortable the things we move around in our head or hold on to because we know them. The fear of the unknown is real and we have had a lot of experience with uncertainty these past few months. Don’t let the things that sit dormant occupy the space you have for greater purpose. Give it away!

#3. MAKE ROOM FOR MORE

I know this sounds crazy but lets all be honest we are going to go out and buy that thing we just can’t live without. Leave an empty shelf or a corner empty for the those new purchases. It will make your life so much easier and the space you just spent cleaning for days will last a little bit longer.

LIFE TIP

Is there room for more in your life or have you filled yourself up? I believe God is always working and He wants to pour more into us and we miss His calling/blessing because we have cluttered our hearts with meaningless things. Make room for Him to come and do more in YOU!

***A little secret for my readers….this is a small segment of a course I have coming out, stay tuned for more you will be the first to know***
